Kiddicare is a large British multichannel retail chain specialising in items for children and babies. They were recently acquired by the Morrisons group and have seen a large growth period following this acquisition. Up until the buyout it was the largest privately owned online retailer of its kind and it still boasts a huge amount of traffic to both the online store and the physical stores nationwide. Now owned by Dunelm, the shop has grown into more of an online store and so our page will inform you on their delivery options, returns policy and generally all things to do with the sending and receiving of parcels.
First and foremost, it’s important to note that the retailer has the right to change information if and when they please. However, we will provide as much information as possible to help answer any questions you may have.
The Kiddicare system is actually quite different to other stores and online retailers because their returns policy allows for returns to be made within 365 days of the original purchase. The cost of delivery, however, does fall with the customer unless the parcel is particularly large, in which case Kiddicare will provide a £4 voucher if your parcel is over a certain size. This is because you will have to use a specific courier service to return the parcel. This service also offers you full tracking of the parcel, offering you peace of mind in case anything should go wrong during the returns process, to make sure you get your full refund.
To initiate the returns process you need to submit your request for an RMA returns number. Note: once you request this number, you have to make sure your item is returned within 14 days, otherwise you will not receive your full refund.
Return Your Kiddicare Parcel
Kiddicare offer free delivery on all of their parcels if the cost of the order is over £49.99 and you live on the UK mainland. You will also be able to get text updates on your delivery and arrange for specific delivery time slots to the nearest hour.
However, if you’re not quite happy with the item that you have had delivered, you will be able to benefit from the great 365 day Kiddicare returns policy. As mentioned above, you will first have to click on the link on the Kiddicare website to receive your individual RMA Kiddicare returns number.
All Kiddicare returns should be carried out by Royal Mail or a courier of your choice to their address below:
Dunelm DC 2
You should include your RMA number on your Kiddicare parcel returns, ideally stuck to the outside of your parcel so that the item can be processed as quickly and easily as possible.
In regards to specific items that are too large to return via simple courier methods, such as furniture items, you should get in contact directly with the Kiddicare returns team and they will provide a collection service. However, if you can’t make it to one of their stores directly, and will rely on this collection service, you should be aware that it will cost around £40 to arrange Kiddicare parcel returns. The exact cost will depend on your location and how easy it is to retrieve the item from your home, in line with the Kiddicare returns policy.
If the collection is being made because the item is defective, the Kiddicare parcel returns team will cover the cost, however if it is simply because you would like to exchange the product, or are not happy with your order, you will need to cover this specific cost. It is also worth mentioning that Kiddicare ideally likes items to be returned in their original packaging, as stated in the Kiddicare returns policy.
Currently, Kiddicare only deliver to the UK and no international addresses. However, there are also some exceptions within the UK. Currently Kiddicare do not send to addresses outside of mainland UK and Ireland. These include the following postcodes: AB30-38, AB44-56, FK17-99, G83, IV1-28, IV30-32, IV33-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-33, PA34-40, PH18-26, PH30, PH31-41, PH49-50, HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA30, PA32-34, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3, BE1-94.
For orders to mainland UK and Ireland the delivery is free if your order is over the price of £49.99, and the cost of delivery is £2.99 on orders costing £49.99 or under.
Kiddicare operate with a variety of couriers but will often use Royal Mail standard delivery services and thus will revert to ParcelForce as the default courier service. This will ensure a quick and efficient service and will also depend on the dimensions of your parcel and the options that you have selected. Delivery will usually take 3-5 working days to arrive, but upon selecting other couriers or paying extra, you can achieve a lower waiting time. However, the service is likely to be the same, with the only changing aspect being the waiting time.
It is worth noting that select day and next day delivery is unavailable for the following postcodes:
Scotland: AB, CA, DD, EX16-23, EX31-39, FK17-21, G67, HS, IV1-56, KW1-14, KW27-28, LA, PA20-39, PH, PL, TR.
All individual courier services will offer their own tracking, some of which is by logging into their service microsite, such as UPS, or some such as DPD will offer tracking via your phone if you enter the specific code. However, the default courier service used by Kiddicare will allow you to track your parcel easily, and the text message service will ease your delivery process as you’ll know exactly when to expect your parcel delivery.
Tracking Your Kiddicare Order
Tracking your Kiddicare order is a simple process that depends on contacting the courier that is delivering your specific parcel. Kiddicare offer residents of mainland UK and Ireland to opt in to text messages on the day of delivery. These messages will let you know – to the closest hour mark – when your parcel will be delivered, giving you the chance to be in your home at the exact moment. Helpfully letting you know will make sure you don’t have to wait at home all day for a parcel.
So if you’re after an item from the leading children and baby supplier, you should now have all of the information needed to place an order. Helpfully listed above are the delivery and returns policies for this nationwide chain. Whilst the store delivers to most addresses in the UK and Ireland, it is worth double checking their returns policy, and triple checking that if you are in an area that struggles to get collections, the item is something you are 100% certain about. Likewise, due to the costs of returning a parcel, if your item is too large to send conventionally, it is worth double checking the sizes prior to ordering on the site.
You should now have all of the information to guarantee safe and efficient delivery, and if you are not 100% happy with your purchase, you know the exact process to return the product without any problems thanks to Parcel Delivery.
